No hidden charges during the build. Your package is a one-time project fee with hosting included for the first 12 months. Before year-end, you are contacted with renewal options. If hosting is not renewed, the website may be archived and removed. Optional extras, like custom domain purchase and setup (from $25 USD), are always quoted clearly before work begins.

You provide the content — we structure, format, and build it into the site. The questionnaire makes the process straightforward, and we'll follow up if anything is missing.

Yes. You receive a private preview link before launch. Review the design and content, request revisions within your package allowance, and approve only when you are ready. Nothing goes live without your sign-off.

Custom domain purchase and setup starts from $25, with the final cost depending on the domain name and how long you want to register it for. A personal domain looks far more professional than a generic link, and it's easier to share with employers and resort managers.

Security and speed are non-negotiable. Every site includes an SSL certificate (the padlock icon in browsers), encrypting data and building trust with visitors. We host on Netlify, a premium platform used by global brands, with 99.9% uptime and lightning-fast load times via a global CDN (Content Delivery Network). Our Premium package targets a 90%+ Lighthouse performance score. Why does speed matter? Google prioritises fast sites in search rankings, and visitors abandon slow sites quickly. Your site will be secure, fast, and reliable.

Yes. Minor content updates are included for the first 30 days after launch (for example, new certifications, a specialty update, or a photo swap). After 30 days, minor updates are typically $40-$60 depending on scope. Larger redesigns or structural changes are quoted separately. Revision rounds during the build are package-based: Starter 1, Pro 2, Premium 3, Elite up to 4.

Minor: Text edits, adding/removing certifications, updating contact info, swapping photos, or adding a testimonial. These are included free within 30 days of launch. Major: Redesigning entire pages, adding new sections (e.g., a shop or booking system), significant layout changes, or integrating third-party tools. Major updates are quoted separately based on scope. We're always transparent about costs before starting work.

You don't need everything perfect before getting in touch. When your project starts, you'll fill in a questionnaire with your career history, certifications, target roles, and photos. We use what you provide to build and structure the site. We do not offer a copywriting service — the words are based on your input. If you're unsure how to phrase something, share the key facts and we'll format and organise them clearly within the layout. Simple, direct information works well.

If you want stronger long-term SEO and authority, a blog helps. It gives you space to publish marine industry insights, field tips, and niche expertise that employers can discover through search. Blogs are included in Premium and Elite packages. If you start on a lower package, you can discuss adding a blog later.

Yes—100%. You own your website, content, images, and design. We build it for you. Hosting is managed on your behalf for the first year. Note that Full Dev Independence handover (source files, technical documentation, and hosting credentials) is an optional add-on available for Premium and Elite packages only, at 25% of the package price. Starter and Pro do not include a dev handover option.

I host all CV websites on Netlify — a premium platform with 99.9% uptime, SSL security, and a global CDN. Your site stays fast, secure, and online with no technical effort from you. Hosting is included for the first 12 months after launch. After that, you have two options: (1) renew hosting at a custom fee depending on your site size and preferred extension period, or (2) the site is removed if not renewed. Post-launch content updates are included for the first 30 days, then priced at $40–$60 per update depending on scope.

You are eligible for a full refund before the design is confirmed. Once the design is approved and the site goes live, refunds are no longer available. This policy protects both of us—you have full opportunity to review and request changes during the design phase. Once you've approved the final design and the site is published, the work is considered complete.

Full Dev Independence handover is available as an optional add-on for Premium and Elite packages only. This includes source files, technical documentation, and hosting credentials — giving you or a developer of your choice complete control. The cost is 25% of your package price. Starter and Pro packages do not include a dev handover option. Most clients are content for me to continue managing hosting and updates on their behalf.
